About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on learning experience within a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced maintenance and operations professionals to solve real-world challenges. The role is based on-site in Bay Springs, Mississippi, for the Summer 2027 term. We offer competitive compensation starting from $3,700 per month, depending on your year in school and experience, along with a temporary living allowance for those relocating for the position.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Build technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills through exposure to modern sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to forestry, supply chain, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Clear communication skills and an interest in collaborating with team members and other departments.
- An interest in hands-on work within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
