About the role#
Interfor is looking for a Maintenance Intern to join the team in Belledune for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position designed for students who want to apply their academic knowledge to real-world industrial challenges. You will work directly with experienced professionals to support the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe and reliable operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Work alongside maintenance and operations professionals to solve technical problems.
- Build your analytical and problem-solving skills through exposure to sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Interest in hands-on work in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with team members.

- Location: Belledune, New Brunswick, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position with a salary starting from $3,350 per month based on experience and year in school, plus a temporary living allowance for those moving to the area.
- Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
