About the role#
Interfor is seeking a Forestry Intern to join the team in Molalla, Oregon. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical experience in woodlands operations. The role involves a 4 to 8 month term starting in May. Interns receive a monthly salary starting at $3,350 depending on their year in school, plus a temporary living allowance if relocation is required.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on exposure to forestry operations and sustainable forest management.
- Visit active worksites to learn how forests are planned, harvested, and regenerated.
- Use industry tools and technology, such as GPS and mapping software.
- Support projects focused on safe, efficient, and responsible operations.
- Learn from experienced staff while building professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a forestry-related degree or diploma program, such as Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, or Conservation.
- A basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging weather and terrain.
- A valid driver’s license.
