About the role#
We are looking for a Ph.D. intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on research projects focused on the intersection of physical layer technologies and AI/ML for next-generation mobile communication systems. This role involves designing simulations, contributing to intellectual property, and sharing your findings through technical reports and papers.
What you'll do#
- Research and evaluate cellular systems using theoretical analysis and simulations.
- Build link-level and system-level simulations using MATLAB or Python.
- Survey current literature and present summaries on the state-of-the-art.
- Write technical reports, presentations, and papers to document your research.
- Generate new technology ideas and support the patent disclosure process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Ph.D. program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Strong background in wireless communications fundamentals, communication theory, and digital signal processing.
- Research experience in wireless communications physical layer and AI/ML.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python and experience with source control tools like GitHub.
- Solid knowledge of AI/ML techniques as applied to communication systems.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, or Melville, New York.
