About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for an active graduate student to support the research agenda for the Andean Region. You will work at our headquarters in Washington D.C. as an Intern Consultant. This is a paid, full-time position during the winter of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and preparation of the department research agenda.
- Identify, compile, and organize databases for research projects.
- Conduct econometric and statistical analyses and perform computer programming tasks.
- Prepare literature reviews and draft supporting documents.
- Support the organization of workshops, meetings, and other regional activities.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active graduate student in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Political Science, International Relations, or Business Administration.
- You must be enrolled in a graduate program as of the start date and have a graduation date after the internship period.
- You must be a national of an IDB member country.
- Fluency in English is required, along with a working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
- You must have a strong understanding of econometrics, including panel data analysis, time series modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- You must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship program and have no family members currently working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
