About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a Winter 2027 internship. This paid, full-time position is based at our headquarters in Washington, D.C. You will join the Global Partnerships Office to assist with partnership outreach, market intelligence, and content development. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience with data-driven knowledge management and CRM systems.
What you'll do#
- Draft and edit written communication materials, including briefings, talking points, and partner highlights.
- Support social media content development by identifying stories and tracking engagement.
- Conduct desk research on partners and development trends.
- Compile partner profiles and briefing notes for outreach activities.
- Maintain and update partner intelligence records in Salesforce.
- Use AI-based tools to summarize information for communications and briefings.
- Assist with the preparation of materials for events, workshops, and senior management meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are an active graduate student in Public Affairs, Public Administration, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You must be enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. program as of the start date, with graduation scheduled after the internship concludes.
- You are a national of an IDB member country.
- You have fluency in English.
- A working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
- You possess skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- The internship is located in Washington, D.C.
- This is an on-site, full-time position (40 hours per week).
- The term runs from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027.
