About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with the Intact Investment Management team. You will work directly with portfolio managers and analysts on the US fixed income team. The role focuses on credit research, corporate credit analysis, and risk management across fixed income portfolios. You will gain exposure to both investment grade and non-investment grade companies.
What you'll do#
- Perform credit analysis and security valuation.
- Conduct independent and directed data analysis on economics, asset classes, industries, and specific companies.
- Build and maintain financial statement models.
- Produce reporting for the investment team.
- Prepare materials for the investment team and senior management.
- Present your findings to portfolio managers and senior management.
What you'll need#
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or Business, either completed or currently in progress.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or VBA.
- Familiarity with SQL is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High ethical standards and a collaborative work ethic.

- Term: Summer 2027 (8 to 12 weeks).
- Compensation: $28 per hour.
