About the role#
As a Survey Intern, you will join our team for a 12-week program to gain practical industry experience. You will work alongside experienced staff members who provide guidance, training, and regular feedback. Our goal is to help you develop the skills needed to manage project tasks independently by the end of your internship. This role is based in our office and on various project sites.
What you'll do#
- Assist with boundary, topographic, right-of-way, transportation, and road and bridge construction surveys.
- Operate surveying equipment, including total stations, levels, GPS, and data collectors.
- Perform arithmetic and geometric calculations.
- Inspect and maintain surveying equipment.
- Collaborate with General Contractors, Subcontractors, the public, and the SCDOT.
- Work in various weather conditions, on different types of terrain, near vehicular traffic, and on steel beams over water.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with Junior or Senior status preferred.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with computers and keyboarding.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.

- Location: Greenville, South Carolina.
- Modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Requirements: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug and background screenings.
