About the role#
This Operations Engineering Co-Op or Intern role supports our engineering team in East Syracuse. You will work alongside Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Engineering teams to solve production issues and improve our processes. This is a full-time, paid position available for the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2027 semesters.
What you'll do#
- Create and update clear procedure documents for production technicians.
- Identify root causes of issues and develop solutions to prevent them from happening again.
- Find inefficiencies in production and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering problems.
- Assist with troubleshooting, failure isolation, and data collection studies.
- Help manage the return of failed products to suppliers through our RTV process.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Engineering Technology fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing engineering processes.
- Previous internship or work experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in East Syracuse, New York.
- You must have reliable transportation, as the facility is not accessible by public transit.
- The pay range is $18 to $26 per hour, depending on experience.
