About the role#
This internship provides experience in a healthcare food service environment. You will support patient, visitor, and staff nutrition by performing essential kitchen and delivery duties. This is a paid, on-site position based in Butler, Pennsylvania, with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Work across various stations in the patient meal service area.
- Deliver carts, meals, and supplies to patient units.
- Prepare, serve, and store food following HACCP guidelines.
- Maintain a sanitary work area and complete cleaning tasks.
- Provide helpful service to all customers and coworkers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a high school or GED program.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to a diverse audience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Servsafe certification is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a worker’s permit and pass a criminal record check.

- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and perform tasks such as walking, standing, and reaching.
