About the role#
IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week program during Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Anaheim, California, alongside experienced engineers on active projects. This is a paid, full-time position that offers hands-on exposure to electrical systems design, project coordination, and field observation within a team-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design portions of projects related to electrical systems in buildings.
- Support engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight.
- Research commercially available equipment and project resources.
- Maintain client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation.
- Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, including mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions.
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and issue addendum information.
- Conduct periodic job site observations.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A strong interest in design consulting.
- Previous exposure to CAD or BIM software.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry is preferred.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour.
