Co-op Student, Responsible Gaming

About the role#

The Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance department at iGaming Ontario focuses on promoting a safe and sustainable online gaming experience. As a Co-op Student, you will contribute to research, policy insights, and program development to support the agency's mandate. This role provides hands-on experience within the Ontario regulated iGaming market.

What you'll do#

• Track emerging responsible gambling (RG) trends and initiatives to create environmental scans.
• Monitor relevant RG and problem gambling research to develop summaries, implications, and recommendations.
• Support stakeholder consultations and engagement initiatives with online gaming operators and the RG community.
• Assist in coordinating on-campus college and university RG presentations.
• Support the optimization of internal processes related to RG Check and the use of findings.
• Coordinate internal activities focused on building an RG culture within the organization.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a post-secondary co-operative education program in political science, sociology, psychology, or public policy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.
• Effective stakeholder relationship skills to engage with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in developing high-quality presentations and briefing materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and pass a criminal background check.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Location: North York, Ontario.
• Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
• Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
• Status: Full-time.
