Co-op Student, Market Insights and Analytics

About the role#

The Market Strategy and Insights team provides analytics, industry intelligence, and research to inform policy and strategic business decisions. As a Co-op Student, you will support the Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance function through hands-on technical and analytical projects during the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in our North York office.

What you'll do#

• Support technical user acceptance testing (UAT) for a data platform modernization project.
• Assist in managing and responding to inquiries from gaming operators.
• Contribute to the development of automated data quality validation systems for data collection pipelines.
• Support the development of a centralized system for departmental data and information storage.
• Conduct online research to assist in the generation of market reports.
• Design and develop PowerBI dashboards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-operative education program in Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience coding in SQL and Python.
• Practical experience building PowerBI dashboards.
• A solid understanding of database concepts and relational data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Critical thinking abilities, including sound judgment and a business mindset.

• Location: North York, Ontario.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: This is an on-site position requiring 5 days a week in the office.
• Eligibility: You must be a full-time student eligible to work in Canada and residing in Ontario for the duration of the term. The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal background check.
