About the role#
As a Materials Management Intern at IEWC, you will support our Demand and Supply Planning teams. This role provides hands-on experience in core supply chain processes, including forecasting, inventory management, and analytics. You will contribute to operational efficiency and help inform business decisions during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages or excess and recommend adjustments.
- Create and update demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer inputs.
- Maintain planning parameters such as safety stock, lead times, lot sizes, and reorder points.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators like inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and service levels.
- Gain experience with ERP, MRP, and advanced analytics tools through daily work.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements based on data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in a Bachelor's degree program for Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and the MS Office Suite.
- Initiative, a collaborative mindset, and a strong desire to learn.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
