About the role#
IEWC is looking for a Demand Planning Intern to join our Materials Management team for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and data analysis. You will work with supply chain, sales, marketing, product management, and operations teams to ensure products are available to meet customer needs.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data and market trends.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and customer demand data to spot risks and opportunities.
- Support monthly and weekly demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate forecast performance.
- Monitor inventory levels to identify potential shortages, excess stock, or demand fluctuations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information that affects forecasts.
- Track forecast accuracy and perform root-cause analysis on variances.
- Assist with data cleansing, master data maintenance, and process improvement projects.
- Participate in meetings and share recommendations based on your analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
