About the role#
The Sales Project Intern supports strategic sales and business development initiatives within the Lumber and Building Materials Division. This 90 day summer internship provides hands-on experience in sales analytics, customer engagement, market research, and process improvement. You will work under the Director of LBM Operations and receive mentoring from business leaders across the company.
What you'll do#
- Create dashboards on the data analytics platform to build reports that tell a concise data story.
- Participate in an Operational Excellence project using Six Sigma or Lean skills, such as a lumberyard layout, process analysis, or a manufacturing review at a truss or door facility.
- Join a product line review with the Millwork and Interior Solutions Division, including product evaluation and cost and pricing analysis.
- Develop sales tools for specific products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing, or related degree program.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized approach to work.

- This internship is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is open to students who do not require sponsorship.
