About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Lab Intern position for Summer 2027 based in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia. You will conduct laboratory analysis to support manufacturing, technical service, regulatory, and shipping objectives. This role requires on-site attendance and the ability to relocate if you do not live locally.
What you'll do#
- Perform product testing on raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods, and technical service samples.
- Maintain accurate analysis reports and enter data into computer systems.
- Manage laboratory equipment, including routine maintenance and daily SPC activities.
- Train other laboratory or plant personnel in analytical techniques and methods.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean.
- Wash laboratory glassware and plant sample containers.
- Dispose of lab samples in approved containers and retain samples as required.
- Support production process improvement efforts and adhere to all plant policies, including safety rules and PPE requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Must have completed your sophomore year of university studies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to set priorities and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and a high level of motivation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
