About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at ICL Group, you will apply engineering principles to identify and implement process improvements. You will work across the operation, interacting with operators, maintenance staff, and plant leadership. This role offers the opportunity to manage individual projects and contribute to the daily functions of our manufacturing site.
What you'll do#
- Identify and implement process improvements through changes to equipment, systems, and procedures.
- Develop and coordinate plant projects to improve safety, process capabilities, and competitive position.
- Coordinate troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking, and plant tests with technical personnel.
- Perform technical and economic evaluations of alternative processes.
- Monitor environmental regulations and performance.
- Participate in plant safety activities and adhere to all PPE requirements, which may include safety shoes, glasses, or respirators.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completed sophomore year of college.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Ability to set priorities and manage small projects with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Relocation or housing assistance is available for those living more than 50 miles from the site.
