About the role#
As a UX Designer Intern for IBM Quantum, you will work at the intersection of science and design. You will help define and evolve the user experience for IBM Quantum across various digital products. This role involves collaborating with scientists and engineers to make quantum computing more accessible to researchers and developers.
What you'll do#
- Help define and evolve the user experience of IBM Quantum across digital products and experiences.
- Partner with team members across disciplines to deliver products.
- Translate operational and functional constraints, user research, and user needs into valuable UI enhancements.
What you'll need#
- Strong experience designing user flows, mockups, and interfaces following a user-centered approach.
- Experience partnering with design, product, and development stakeholders.
- Strong visual design skills, including composition, typography, illustration, and designing for responsive screens.
- Ability to clearly communicate design decisions, intentions, and technical details.
- Strong experience with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience reviewing mockups with end users and stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for generating prototypes and designs.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Familiarity working with or contributing to design systems, particularly the Carbon and/or IBM Design languages.
- Experience creating digital illustrations and/or animations.
- Experience working on highly complex or technical digital platforms or tools.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or Industrial Design.
