About the role#
As a Technology Seller Co-op, you will connect customers with solutions across AI, data, automation, cloud, and infrastructure. This position focuses on consultative selling, digital engagement, and customer success. You will work within a team to build client relationships and help organizations solve business challenges. This is a 16-week, full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Create demand and identify new opportunities within assigned territories through outbound, inbound, and digital engagement.
- Engage and qualify prospective customers using phone, email, social media, video outreach, and virtual events.
- Manage an active pipeline by progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, including renewal, upgrade, and modernization efforts.
- Participate in customer discovery conversations to understand business objectives, technical needs, and buying criteria.
- Deliver virtual technical demonstrations and proof-of-value discussions that connect IBM capabilities to business outcomes.
- Act as a technical advocate by maintaining product knowledge and communicating value propositions.
- Collaborate with Technical Specialists, Account Executives, Marketing, and Ecosystem teams to advance opportunities.
- Use AI-enabled sales tools, market intelligence, and social selling techniques to drive growth.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in technology, consultative sales, and solving client business challenges.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Analytical thinking, curiosity, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or community involvement.
