About the role#
As a Technical Sales Engineer Co-Op, you will connect clients with technology solutions across AI, data, automation, cloud, and infrastructure. This role focuses on consultative selling and customer success. You will work within a team to build client relationships and demonstrate how IBM products solve business challenges. This is a 16-week, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in client discovery sessions to identify business objectives and technical requirements.
- Design and validate technical solutions that align with specific customer goals.
- Build and deliver demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical workshops.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for various stakeholders.
- Support customer adoption and help clients remove technical barriers.
- Collaborate with sales, technical specialists, and partners to progress opportunities.
- Contribute reusable assets, best practices, and innovative ideas to the team.
- Present technical findings and solution recommendations to clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, software development, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
- Experience with at least one programming language like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for prototyping or troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through athletics, student organizations, volunteer work, or competitions.
