About the role#
IBM is hiring a Procurement Intern to join the Enterprise Operations team. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that impact our business operations. This is a 3-month internship designed for a student who enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, and collaborating across teams.
What you'll do#
- Conduct vendor negotiations and selection.
- Help identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Analyze workflows to suggest efficiencies.
- Use data tools to uncover insights and support decision-making.
- Assist in vetting and integrating new suppliers.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure smooth transactions.
- Learn about compliance and government contracting.
- Participate in cross-functional projects with external stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or Data Science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience using AI tools with an AI-first mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Proficiency in Excel or other data tools is a plus.
