About the role#
As an Intern Application Developer at IBM, you will work with experienced professionals to solve business challenges through technology and consulting. You will gain hands-on experience on real client projects while receiving mentorship and career coaching. This role focuses on the Oracle practice, where you will support enterprise applications for finance, supply chain, human resources, and digital transformation. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver projects.
- Contribute to technical documentation and participate in design discussions.
- Write scalable, reusable code and participate in code reviews.
- Build cloud-native and full-stack applications with a focus on performance and quality.
- Support enterprise-level business solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++.
- A basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, and APIs.
- Familiarity with tools and concepts like Git, Agile development, DevOps, cloud platforms, and user interface frameworks.
- An interest in software development, Artificial Intelligence, automation, and cloud technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
