About the role#
Join the AI Foundations Research team to help shape the future of artificial intelligence. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to conduct end-to-end research that delivers real-world impact. This role bridges fundamental science and engineering, focusing on areas like multi-modal systems, data generation, and novel model architectures. You will contribute to open innovation initiatives while working in a collaborative, expert-led environment.
What you'll do#
- Explore new algorithms for training, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and inference time scaling.
- Engage in the full research lifecycle from identifying core challenges to designing and validating prototype solutions.
- Build the infrastructure that powers AI research.
- Drive projects from concept to completion.
- Transform novel algorithms into high-performance, reusable code within distributed frameworks.
What you'll need#
- Familiarity with modern AI concepts, including Transformer architectures and Large Language Models.
- Hands-on project or class experience in AI and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python for software development, scripting, or prototyping.
- Expertise in ML frameworks like PyTorch.
- Experience with generative AI and multimodal models.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and present research through high-impact demonstrations.
- Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
