About the role#
This internship program is a 10 to 12-week opportunity for students to gain corporate experience and learn about our business. You will support the implementation of the Hubbell Manufacturing System and contribute to certification efforts for our steel and utility departments. This role focuses on advancing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to drive measurable operational improvements.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational data and conduct process assessments.
- Facilitate kaizen events and support 5S and visual management programs.
- Maintain standard work documentation and track certification-related action items.
- Assist with projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Present your work to the local management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university in a major such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- A strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence.

- Compensation: Paid position, ranging from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
