About the role#
This is a 10 to 12-week summer internship based in Washington, D.C. You will support industrial and electrical sales activities, focusing on territory management, account development, project tracking, and customer relationship management. You will work alongside outside sales representatives to learn about manufacturer-distributor partnerships, end-user engagement, and sales operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist local sales teams with project quotes, submittals, and general sales support.
- Manage multiple overlapping projects while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Apply classroom knowledge to professional tasks and assist with process improvement.
- Develop technical, analytical, and communication skills specific to your major.
- Collaborate with team members and colleagues on value-added projects.
- Present your work to the local management team at the end of the program.
- Gain experience in planning, organization, and industry operations.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
