About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain corporate experience while supporting new product development within the utility market. You will work with product managers and engineers on product strategy, innovation projects, and customer support. The program runs for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to new product development activities and evaluate early-stage concepts.
- Help advance connector solutions from initial ideas through the development process.
- Assist with customer complaint investigations.
- Visit manufacturing sites to learn about production operations.
- Manage multiple tasks independently and assist co-workers.
- Apply classroom knowledge to practical, value-added projects.
- Develop technical skills and improve planning and organizational abilities.
- Deliver a final presentation to the local management team.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university for the duration of the program (May to August 2027).
- Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Interest or coursework in power systems, utilities, or electrical grid infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Exposure to CAD software, 3D printing, robotics, programming, or other design and prototyping tools is preferred.

- Compensation: $22.50 to $29.00 per hour, depending on academic standing and graduation date.
