About the role#
HP IQ is building new technology at the intersection of hardware and services. We are looking for an intern to help us secure our products, as privacy and security are central to our work. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Secure users' devices.
- Protect users' data.
- Maintain the security of the HP IQ infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong software engineering skills.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, or Python.
- An interest in privacy, security, and product design.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team.
- Understanding of security concepts such as cryptography, access control, authorization, network security, and software security.
- The ability to think paranoid as a basis for threat modeling.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- The internship runs from May or June through August or September 2027.
- Pay is $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
