About the role#
This internship is a 12-week summer program designed to provide hands-on experience within the HP Supply Chain Organization. You will work on projects related to sourcing, logistics, planning, inventory management, manufacturing operations, sustainability, and order fulfillment. This role is intended to build foundational supply chain skills and prepare participants for future professional opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and map supply chain processes using the SCOR model framework.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose recommendations to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and insights for process optimization.
- Support the implementation of supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure key performance indicators.
- Review and analyze potential new supply chain concepts.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Conduct sourcing market research and design sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and implement new quality control processes.
- Apply analytics to create data-driven solutions and financial or operational models.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree or the 1st year of a Master's or MBA program.
- Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- No more than 24 months of prior professional work experience related to this role.
- Eligibility to work in the United States in 2027 without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Access, and Python.
- Preferred: Experience with statistical analysis, financial modeling, and advanced Excel features like macros and Pivot tables.
- Preferred: Previous internships in a supply chain function.
