About the role#
As a Client Services Intern at Hotchkiss Insurance, you will support the daily operations of our client service team. You will assist with policy management, customer inquiries, and administrative tasks. Working with both sales and service teams, you will develop an understanding of the customer lifecycle from initial contact to ongoing policy support. This role is designed for those pursuing a career in insurance, risk management, or customer service.
What you'll do#
- Support account managers with renewals, endorsements, and client communications.
- Research industry trends, target industries, and competitors to assist our sales and marketing strategies.
- Shadow sales agents and attend client meetings or calls to observe professional interactions.
- Assist in processing claims and learning the claims lifecycle from filing to resolution.
- Use agency management software to update records and generate reports.
- Learn and apply compliance requirements to ensure documentation is accurate.
- Contribute to marketing projects, such as drafting newsletters or creating promotional materials.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- A clear interest in commercial insurance, risk assessment, or financial services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with technology.
Location & details#
- Location: Carrollton, TX or Houston, TX.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position requiring a daily commute to the office.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027 to July 30, 2027).
- Compensation: $21 per hour.
- Requirements: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
