About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a technologist. You will gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting while supporting department operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select technical parameters for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians during imaging tasks.
- Complete documentation for billing, regulatory requirements, and image distribution.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Attend to patient needs and comforts while helping to manage patient flow.
- Document clinical information and maintain department supplies.
- Assist with the preparation of contrast media and medications within your scope of practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
