About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to perform radiographic imaging procedures and assist providers in the catheterization lab. You will work under the direct supervision of a technologist to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. The role requires the use of independent judgment and initiative while completing technical tasks.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for and assist physicians during catheterization lab procedures by applying knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology and procedural techniques.
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment in collaboration with your preceptor.
- Monitor procedural activities to identify and respond to adverse reactions or conditions.
- Handle documentation for procedures, including image storage and archival.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.
