About the role#
As a Copywriter Intern at Hiebing, you will join the Create team to turn insights into ideas. You will partner with art directors and other writers to connect brands with people. You will contribute to real client work, from initial brainstorms to final copy, while building your skills and portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Develop creative concepts with art directors and other team members.
- Write and refine copy across various channels, adapting your approach to fit specific brand voices and audiences.
- Bring multiple ideas to the table and build on the work of others.
- Use feedback to improve your thinking and execution.
- Explore AI tools for research and brainstorming while applying your own judgment and craft to the final output.
- Follow agency guidelines regarding AI use, data privacy, and output accuracy.
- Manage your assignments, share progress updates, and meet deadlines.
What you'll need#
- A portfolio demonstrating your writing ability, conceptual thinking, and creative potential.
- Strong skills in grammar, spelling, and editing.
- The ability to adapt your tone and style for different brands.
- Curiosity about people, culture, brands, and creative tools.
- A collaborative approach and openness to feedback.
- Initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions.
Location & details#
- Locations: Madison, Wisconsin or Austin, Texas. You must be based in one of these states and able to work from the office.
- Work modality: Hybrid. In-office collaboration is expected Monday through Wednesday, with remote flexibility on Thursday and Friday.
- Timing: Starting in Fall 2026 and continuing through May 2027.
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
- Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
- Requirements: You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
