About the role#
As a Workforce Operations Intern, you will support workforce planning and optimization at Kennywood. This role offers hands-on experience in analyzing data and improving operational processes to help the park run efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with departments to assess staffing needs and recommend deployment strategies.
- Develop workforce planning models and scenarios.
- Generate reports on workforce trends and metrics for management.
- Manage daily scheduling tasks, including call-outs, no-shows, and schedule changes using Quinyx.
- Identify process improvements through time-in-motion studies and demand analysis.
- Assist in implementing operational efficiency solutions.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in human resources, business, industrial engineering, or data analytics.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to the park.
- Ability to comply with uniform policies.
- Previous experience in workforce management, operations, or HR is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or workforce management software like Quinyx is a plus.
- Previous work in hospitality, theme parks, or food and beverage is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or other languages are a plus.
