About the role#
As a Workforce Management Intern at Adventureland Park, you will support workforce planning and optimization. This role provides hands-on experience in analyzing data, improving operational processes, and developing strategies to increase efficiency. You will work primarily in an office setting while interacting frequently with outdoor park locations.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with departments to assess staffing needs and recommend optimal deployment.
- Contribute to the development of workforce planning models and scenarios.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports regarding workforce trends and metrics.
- Execute scheduling processes using the Quinyx platform.
- Manage daily tasks including scheduling changes, call outs, and no shows.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through time-in-motion studies and demand analysis.
- Assist in implementing solutions to enhance key park operations.
- Complete special projects and duties assigned by leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in human resources, business, industrial engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies.
- Previous experience in workforce management, operations, or HR is preferred.
- Experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or theme parks is a plus.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Quinyx, or other workforce management software is a plus.
- Fluent English is required; bilingual skills in Spanish or other languages are a plus.
