About the role#
This role involves performing lifeguard duties at Adventureland. You will follow all park safety and operating procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests. This position requires a safety-oriented mindset and a focus on guest service. You will interact with visitors throughout the day to provide information and maintain park standards.
What you'll do#
- Perform lifeguard duties and enforce park, ride, and attraction safety rules.
- Participate in department audits and required in-service skills training sessions.
- Communicate park information, such as directions and policies, to guests.
- Keep designated work areas clean and clear of trip hazards.
- Assist with park cleanup during pre and post operations, including tasks like picking up trash and straightening chairs.
- Report park or team concerns to the leadership team.
- Work scheduled hours while adhering to all labor laws.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program and pass all certification requirements.
- Ability to swim 50 yards using front crawl or breaststroke.
- Ability to retrieve a 10-lb brick from 5 feet of water.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A guest-focused approach and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies.
