About the role#
This internship at the Longueuil plant supports environmental, health, and safety operations. You will work on-site to assist with regulatory compliance, data management, and process improvements within our manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Manage residual hazardous materials and identify opportunities for waste minimization.
- Assist in closing corrective actions from audits, inspections, and incidents.
- Participate in monthly environmental, health, and safety inspections.
- Update and improve inspection forms using iAuditor.
- Compile data for quarterly KPIs and track volatile organic compound (VOC) registers.
- Prepare for environmental audits regarding legal and corporate requirements.
- Track water consumption data and assist in gathering information for government inquiries from agencies like Statistics Canada, MELCCFP, and ECCC.
- Collaborate with the corporate group through internal forums and support plant priorities as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program (Bachelor, Master, or DESS) in Environmental Engineering.
- Strong communication skills in French, both written and spoken.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to build good working relationships.
- A credited COOP internship is considered an asset.
