Test Engineering Intern

About the role#

The Test Engineering Intern will support the development of infrastructure for testing fuel and hydraulic system components. You will work alongside hardware owners to define testing requirements, implement test fixtures, and assist in data collection to verify design decisions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Atlanta, Georgia, available for the Winter 2026 (January–April) or Summer 2026 (May–August) terms.

What you'll do#

• Design test fixtures and interfaces.
• Perform analysis to determine target test points, instrumentation, and test safety margins.
• Organize and lead test design reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Create manufacturing plans for test components and fixtures, collaborating with build teams to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Design and release flight-like hardware, including CAD and drawing creation, as needed for testing.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (third or fourth-year undergraduate, Master's, or Ph.D. student).
• Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through projects, studies, or internships.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• A strong interest in testing and enthusiasm for aviation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to access information subject to U.S. export controls (U.S. person status).
