About the role#
Hermeus is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join the team for the Winter 2026 term. This full-time, paid internship provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of high-speed aircraft through an iterative engineering approach. The role involves working directly with experienced engineers on hardware development for supersonic flight.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, build, and test phases of hardware for supersonic aircraft.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot technical challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (third or fourth-year undergraduate, Master's, or Ph.D. student).
- Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, academic studies, or personal projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong interest in vehicle hardware and enthusiasm for the aviation mission.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 to satisfy U.S. export control requirements.
