Subsystem Test Engineering Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

The Subsystem Test Engineering Intern will support the development of infrastructure used to test fuel and hydraulic system components. You will collaborate with hardware owners to define testing requirements, design and implement test fixtures, and assist in data collection to inform and verify design decisions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Atlanta, Georgia, for the Fall 2026 term (August–December).

What you'll do#

• Design test fixtures and interfaces.
• Perform analysis to determine target test points and instrumentation, ensuring sufficient test safety margins.
• Organize and lead test design reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Create manufacturing plans for test components and fixtures, working directly with build teams to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Design and release flight-like hardware for testing, including CAD modeling and drawing creation.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
• Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, academic studies, or projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles and a demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
• A GPA of 3.0 or above.
• A strong interest in testing.
