GNC Engineering Intern

About the role#

As a GNC Engineering Intern, you will support the development of guidance, navigation, and control systems for uncrewed high-speed aircraft. This role focuses on controls development, algorithm implementation, and testing to support the design and performance of high-Mach and hypersonic flight vehicles.

What you'll do#

• Support the design, implementation, and testing of guidance and control algorithms for uncrewed high-speed aircraft.
• Assist in developing and tuning control laws for flight vehicle stability and performance.
• Implement and validate control algorithms in simulation and test environments.
• Support the analysis of test data to refine control system performance.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong background in controls, dynamics, and feedback systems.
• Experience with control system modeling and simulation.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar tools used for controls development.
• A strong understanding of engineering first principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 to meet U.S. export control requirements.

• Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site)
• Terms: Summer 2026 (approx. 10 weeks) or Fall 2026 (approx. 16 weeks)
• Commitment: Full-time
• Compensation: Paid internship
