About the role#
We are hiring a Mining Engineer Intern to join our team in Burnet, Texas. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers a mix of office and field work. You will work on-site at our aggregate site.
What you'll do#
- Apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects in the field.
- Assist plant operations teams to help reach production targets.
- Partner with engineers, managers, and production staff across different departments.
- Complete technical projects to understand how our quarry and aggregate operations function.
- Learn the core missions of the production, maintenance, and quality departments.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, along with company policies.
What you'll need#
- You are a current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the role.
- Flexibility and an openness to change.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to motivate team members and manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Burnet, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and perform manual labor.
- You will work in various weather conditions and must use personal protective equipment as required.
