About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 12 week development opportunity for students to learn about the hospitality industry. You will work within the Front Office department, shadowing leaders and staff to understand the daily operations of a hotel. The program provides a foundation to help you build a long-term career in this field.
What you'll do#
- Shadow leaders and staff across all shifts and positions within the Front Office.
- Attend department and leadership meetings to observe operational management.
- Learn to operate the property management system and other front office software.
- Use labor management tools to help schedule and control costs.
- Interact with customers to resolve problems and maintain service standards.
- Ensure the department follows all room standard operating procedures and policies.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A recent or current degree from a hospitality program is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and staff, including resolving conflicts.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front office for your shift.
- Comfort using a computer system to input information accurately.
- Ability to stay alert and detect signs of emergency situations.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site at one of our locations in Greenville, SC, Los Angeles, CA, Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, Baltimore, MD, or Mars, PA.
