About the role#
The HEI Internship Program is a 10 to 12 week development opportunity for students to learn about the hospitality industry. You will spend your time immersed in the front of house Food and Beverage discipline. This program provides a foundation to help prepare you for a career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Shadow leaders within the hotel department.
- Work alongside the team during every shift and in every position within your assigned outlet.
- Attend department and leadership meetings.
- Learn to operate the PMS and other Food and Beverage systems.
- Use labor management tools to schedule and control costs.
- Interact with customers to resolve problems and maintain service quality.
- Ensure the team follows all Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
- Maintain consistent attendance.
What you'll need#
- Current or recent graduate of a hospitality program is preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- Proficiency with point of service computer systems.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt your communication style for different audiences.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is on-site at locations in Los Angeles, CA, Orlando, FL, Atlanta, GA, The Woodlands, TX, San Antonio, TX, and Baltimore, MD.
- This program operates on a rolling basis.
