About the role#
The Data Analyst Intern will support data analytics initiatives within the IT and Accounting departments. You will work on building dashboards and reports that help leadership make informed decisions. This role provides rotational exposure to both departments, offering a view of how data drives operational and financial outcomes at a growing electrical contractor.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards covering recruiting, project cost, and financial KPIs.
- Clean and validate data across ERP, ATS, and HRIS systems.
- Support ad hoc data and reporting requests from leadership.
- Identify trends and anomalies while supporting root-cause analysis on data discrepancies.
- Assist the Accounting team with cost tracking, budget analysis, reconciliation, and reporting automation.
- Partner with IT, Accounting, and Recruiting to translate reporting needs into analytics deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
- Basic SQL or database querying experience.
- Coursework or experience in financial or construction-industry analytics.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Houston, Texas.
- The program runs during Summer 2027.
