About the role#
Haworth is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a paid, full-time summer position in Bruce, Mississippi. This 12-week program allows you to gain hands-on experience by working on real projects within our manufacturing environment. You will join a cohort of interns and participate in workshops focused on networking and professional skill development.
What you'll do#
- Perform time studies to analyze manufacturing efficiency.
- Assist with the setup and implementation of new machinery.
- Create and update CAD drawings.
- Contribute to lean process initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Junior level status or higher by Fall 2027.
- Ability to work on-site in Bruce, MS from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Unrestricted right to work in the US.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks.
- Proficiency in Excel and general spreadsheet applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage deadlines.
- A GPA of 2.95 or higher is preferred.
- Previous experience through employment, extra-curricular activities, or prior time at Haworth is a plus.
