About the role#
The Center for Student Veterans and Military Connected Students is hiring a Student Aide for the Fall 2026 term. You will act as the first point of contact for students, employees, and community members. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Palatine, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and handle inquiries in-person, over the phone, and through digital channels.
- Assist staff with special projects.
- Support student events, including the set-up, implementation, and tear down of event materials.
- Maintain knowledge of engagement opportunities for students within the Center.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Harper College student.
- Eligibility to receive VA Work Study benefits for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Enrollment at least 3/4 time in a college degree, vocational school, or professional program.
- Use of an approved VA education benefits program.
- Ability to complete the work-study contract while remaining eligible for benefits.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs for event-related tasks.
