About the role#
The Fashion Design Student Aide provides support to the Fashion program, assisting both faculty and students within lab and classroom environments. This role requires a professional, organized individual who can maintain facility standards and ensure lab policies are followed.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operations in the Fashion lab and classrooms.
- Monitor student activity to ensure compliance with established rules and expectations.
- Manage inventory and report supply needs to the FAS Lab Assistant.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the facility.
- Handle mail, correspondence, supply deliveries, and equipment maintenance.
- Receive daily instructions and report directly to the FAS Lab Assistant.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Harper College student enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester (or 3 credits for the summer semester).
- Proficiency in computers and standard office software, including file and folder management.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds safely.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks punctually.
- A professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with students.
