About the role#
Halff is looking for an Environmental Intern to join the team in Dallas, Texas. This is a full-time, paid internship running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
What you'll do#
You will support our environmental projects through research, analysis, and documentation. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with electric transmission line routing studies and expert testimony.
- Developing GIS geodatabases.
- Performing environmental constraints mapping and analysis.
- Preparing documentation for the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Supporting wetland delineation and Section 404/10 permitting and mitigation tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- You have strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ArcGIS, CADD, or GPS technology is preferred.
- You demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teams.

This internship is based on-site in Dallas, Texas. Please note that the company does not provide or pay for housing.
