About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Jacksonville, Florida, for an 11-week duration. Intern housing is provided near the St. Johns Town Center.
What you'll do#
- Own high-impact projects that inform strategic decisions and drive outcomes across the organization.
- Gain insight into the full spectrum of actuarial work and see how your contributions impact member health.
- Work closely with an assigned manager for ongoing guidance and support.
- Connect with cross-functional teams to broaden your understanding of the actuarial profession.
- Present your project findings to the actuarial department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student with a graduation date no earlier than the Fall 2027 semester.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred experience includes previous project work, health care experience, or knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, SQL, or VBA.
