About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Actuarial Internship for the Summer 2027 term. The position is located on-site in Jacksonville, Florida, and will last for 11 weeks. Intern housing is provided near the St. Johns Town Center.
What you'll do#
- Own real, high-impact projects that inform strategic decisions and drive outcomes across the organization.
- Gain insight into the full spectrum of actuarial work and see how your contributions impact member health.
- Work closely with an assigned manager who provides guidance and support.
- Build cross-functional knowledge by connecting with colleagues across various actuarial teams.
- Gain presentation experience by sharing your project findings with the actuarial department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student with a graduation date no earlier than the Fall 2027 semester.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred qualifications include strong written and verbal communication skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Preferred technical skills include knowledge of programming languages like SAS, SQL, or VBA, and previous project or health care related experience.

- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly pay range of $22 to $36.
